The Young People

Monique has “adopted” a number of young people to whom she and Ben are extremely close.  They are spiritual children, dear friends, protégés, who fill her heart with joy and add so much to her life that “family” seems owed to as well as deserved by them.

Jessica Cornfeld is Monique’s cousin.  She holds a degree from Oxford and has loved Monique’s novels since she was in junior high school. Ben and Monique think of her as another daughter.  She lives all over the place—right now, in London.
